Rainbow eucalyptus or Eucalyptus deglupta is probably the most interesting and beautiful of all trees - and not for the leaves but for the peeling bark. This amazing eucalyptus slowly peels bark off layer by layer and the exposed layers turn colors when exposed to air over time.
The tree is also one of the most valuable crop trees, grown in tropical pulpwood plantations in the Philippines. The rainbow eucalyptus can grow outdoors in the United States in southern and central Florida and where no hard frosts occur. It also grows well in Hawaii.
